This book provides encouragement and accountability with the direct tasks and checkbox tasks. The author provides great tips for keeping myself accountable throughout the organization process. The six steps are great for many of the spaces that I have organized. Empty everything out and only put back in what belongs! Got that one down! I’ve started setting goals and deadlines, which has helped me stay focused and motivated. I filled a box three days in a row with items that I have not used for an entire year. The book says I don’t need them. This rule helped me part with many items more easily. I loved it and my wife has started reading it too.

My commercial office spaces always needs organization. I’ve implemented several of the book’s strategies, and the difference has been remarkable. The section on maintaining organization was particularly useful. Our offices are now rooms where our team can focus and thrive. There were not any office specific sections in the book, but the concepts were easy to apply to my office space. I had someone from my admin team host a get organized week for my team. A few concepts helped us drastically. Analyze anything you haven’t used in more than one year. We went with 3 months, but the concept worked the same. We added asking if there was anything left over from past employees and put out a list of 20 other questions inspired by the book to everyone in the office. We rewarded the most organized desks with gift cards. My salespeople made a competition out of it and we now have an office ready for future growth.
Fatima Khan –
Real Spaces is fantastic! Simple, effective tips that helped me become more minimal.
Lily Anderson –
If you are struggling with too much stuff or not knowing where to start, Real Spaces Real Life could be your answer. Doing everything all at once doesn’t work for me. I enjoy feeling good when I accomplish another project and get overwhelmed if I do too much at once. Real Spaces lets me do one item or two items and to stop when I want versus being too much to take on at once.
Hana Jericho –
I was overwhelmed with accumulated belongings since retiring, so this book offered a refreshing approach to decluttering. I pretended like I had the support of multiple organizers all recommending the same thing through the pages of the book. Each chapter focuses on a different section of the home, allowing you to choose where to flip to based on what is important to you. Other parts you can apply to anything, such as Have you used this in one year? If not, you probably won’t in the next year either. If you have 14 spatulas, it says to keep 7, in turn, applying reduce by 50% to other categories in your home. It’s all just very easily laid out making organizing feel more manageable. You start to pick up on similar concepts that you’ll start applying to everything. I feel more prepared to declutter more in the future.
Nyx –

If you’re serious about decluttering and do not know where to start, try this book! I have a lot more room in my closet and dresser and my small studio is starting to feel better. I am not very good at decluttering and it is hard for me but am getting rid of the things I really don’t need slowly with some of the great questions I have read it this book to ask myself. If I haven’t used it in a year I learned I probably never will so I can apply that to many things. Just some examples I realized I do not need two bathroom scales and no longer have 8 winter coats because of the 3 I really wear I won’t even miss the others!!!
Nina Rodriguez –
I sat on my couch all day Saturday and read through the whole book when it arrived! The beautiful photos are so fun to look through. People will truly be inspired to make changes in their own home. A lot of organizing books seem like they aren’t really for real homes (who has rainbow food??) and this one is on point to really help people declutter their home and organize the different areas that they want to. The book combines spaces that are pretty, organized, and functional.
Grace Mitchell –
I ordered this book to set out as a decorative piece. The textured cover is so pretty. My sister borrowed in last weekend and we did some projects in her house. It really motivated her to do small projects. I feel like we accomplished a lot in a few hours with this book! If you love to organize, it is really fun and if you hate it, you’ll probably be motivated!

Home is more organized and I’ve become more productive at work. Recommended the book to anyone looking to improve or shift their focus. Carlos

I’ve organized our changing table and closet and this week I’m focusing on under the sink and some of my kitchen drawers. The book’s advice on decluttering and creating efficient storage solutions is really simple. I love how it emphasizes a personalized approach to organization, helping me find solutions that work best for my specific needs and space. The photos are truly inspiring, and I’m excited to see how these new strategies will improve the rest of my home. It has really made a noticeable difference in my everyday life and I’m hoping maybe they will write a second book because its really rewarding to transform these spaces on my own along with the books directions.

Is your mom thriving?! And organized 😅 My mother’s treasured museum pieces from the 1900s and her mid century modern clothes from the 1950s and 60s have been donated for the first time in their life. She loves your book.

Real Spaces is everything I’ve been looking for!! I struggle a lot with organizing my house and figuring out ways to keep my house organized… All of my research so far has brought me to picture-perfect guides that are just unrealistic for my busy life. Other books have made it seem like I need a second mortgage to buy out the container store. Real Spaces is just as it sounds – real. The ideas and strategies it lays out have helped me organize and maintain my house without feeling like I need to buy tons of new things. I don’t feel like keeping my space organized is so unattainable now! 10/10 recommend. An added bonus is that the physical book is gorgeous too!

With two young kids and a hectic schedule, our home can always use something to lift the chaos. This book offers solutions that fit perfectly into our busy lives. Our kids now go on a hunt before dinner for 5 things to take back to their room or playroom. That’s 20 things put away on a daily basis. I appreciated the book’s practical advice, especially the family-friendly organizing strategies. It’s helped us create a more organized and picked up environment, and we’ve even involved the kids in the process, making it a fun family activity. If you’re juggling family life and disorganization, this book is a must-have!

The content in here is different than most organizing books!!! I love it! There are actual checkboxes and projects so you can accomplish something in your house by using it. It helps you declutter by telling you ideas on exactly what you could go do. I threw out my kids broken crayons and dried out markers today and removed 3 dresses from my closet that I never choose to wear because I like others better this week. It feels great!
